Eiko Shepherd is one of the most sought-after kata clinicians in the world.  Her knowledge and dedication to the sport is second to none.  She is constantly on the go where she is active on kata committees and event organization on the national and international levels.   She is an 8th degree black belt and her teaching philosophy is all about building upon the fundamentals of judo through the study of kata.

Every summer, she organizes her Joshi Camp (for female judoka) where she inspires and encourages women to strive for their best.

She was inducted to the 2021 USJF Hall of Fame.
